About the Journal

JICOMS: Journal of Islamic Communication and Media Studies serves as the flagship journal of the Department of Islamic Communication and Broadcasting, within the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Adab, and Dakwah at IAIN Lhokseumawe. The journal publishes scholarly articles derived from empirical research and reflective analysis intended for both practitioners and academicians. It aims to contribute to theoretical advancement and the introduction of novel concepts within the fields of Islamic broadcasting communication and media studies. The scope of the journal encompasses Islamic Communication, Islamic Journalism, Da'wah Media, New Media, podcasts, radio, and television, all analyzed through the lens of Islamic communication perspectives. JICOMS: Journal of Islamic Communication and Media Studies is published biannually, with issues released in June and December.
