Aims and Objectives

Ar-Riyadhiyyat: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika aims to advance the theory and practice of mathematics education by providing a scholarly forum for researchers, educators, and practitioners. The objectives of the journal are:

  1. to publish original research and scholarly reviews that contribute to the advancement of mathematics education;
  2. to provide a forum for researchers, educators, and practitioners to share and discuss research findings and critical reviews on the teaching and learning of mathematics;
  3. to promote research on ethnomathematics, mathematics education integrated with Islamic values, and the use of technology in mathematics teaching and learning; and
  4. to make this research freely available to the public, so that it can inform and improve the teaching and learning of mathematics at all levels of education.

Focus

Ar-Riyadhiyyat: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika publishes original research and scholarly reviews that contribute to the advancement of mathematics education. The journal gives priority to studies that offer clear novelty, sound methodology, and meaningful implications for the teaching and learning of mathematics at all levels of education.

Scope

The journal accepts manuscripts on all aspects of mathematics education, with particular emphasis on the following areas:

  1. Ethnomathematics: mathematical ideas and practices embedded in cultural activities, artifacts, and traditions, and their use in mathematics learning.
  2. Mathematics education integrated with Islamic values: the development, implementation, and evaluation of curricula, learning materials, and instructional approaches that integrate Islamic values into mathematics education.
  3. Technology in mathematics teaching and learning: the design, use, and effectiveness of digital tools, learning media, software, and online environments in mathematics instruction.

Manuscripts outside the field of mathematics education are not considered.

Types of Articles

The journal accepts the following types of manuscript, as described in the Types of Manuscript section of the About the Journal page:

  • Research article: original research that is quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, design-based, or development research.
  • Literature review: a comprehensive, up-to-date synthesis of published research, such as a systematic literature review, scoping review, meta-analysis, or bibliometric analysis, that includes the authors’ own critical analysis.

All manuscripts must fall within the field and scope described above.
