Sustainability: Educational Innovation and Local Identity is a peer-reviewed journal. This statement outlines the ethical standards expected from all parties involved in the publication process of articles in this journal—namely the authors, editor-in-chief, editorial board, peer reviewers, and the publisher (Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Universitas Sultannah Nahrasiya). This statement is based on the COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication

The publication of articles in Sustainability: Educational Innovation and Local Identity represents a significant contribution to the development of a coherent and respected body of knowledge. It reflects the quality of the authors’ work and the institutions that support them. Therefore, high ethical standards must be upheld by all parties involved—authors, editors, reviewers, publishers, and affiliated institutions.

The Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at Universitas Sultannah Nahrasiya, as the publisher, is committed to its responsibilities in all stages of the publication process and ensures that commercial interests do not influence editorial decisions.

Allegations of Research Misconduct

Research misconduct includes fabrication, falsification, citation manipulation, and plagiarism. Editors will act in accordance with COPE guidelines to investigate such allegations and will retract or reject a manuscript where necessary.

The initial step involves assessing the validity of the allegation and identifying potential conflicts of interest. Authors will be contacted for a response. Further expert review may be sought. If no misconduct is found, a clarification or correction may be issued. Institutions are expected to conduct appropriate investigations when needed.

Publication Decisions

The editors of Sustainability: Educational Innovation and Local Identity are responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts are published. This decision is based on the significance, originality, and relevance of the work within the scope of the journal, and in accordance with applicable laws and ethical considerations.
