LITERATUR: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research articles and conceptual papers on Indonesian language and literature, including their teaching and learning. Grounded in the view that language is the driver of knowledge, the journal aims to advance theory, research, and practice in language and literature studies. All articles are published in English.
1. Linguistics
Studies of the Indonesian language and regional languages of Indonesia, including phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, applied linguistics, translation, and the preservation and revitalization of regional languages.
2. Literature
Studies of Indonesian and regional literature, including literary criticism, literary theory, comparative literature, oral and folk literature, children’s literature, cultural and character values in literary works, and literature in digital and popular media.
3. Indonesian Language and Literature Learning
Research on the teaching and learning of Indonesian language and literature, including curriculum and materials development, teaching methods, learning media and technology, assessment of language and literacy skills, literature teaching, and Indonesian for Speakers of Other Languages (BIPA).
Manuscripts that do not address language or literature, such as studies on general education or education management, fall outside the scope of the journal.
